The FICPFM (Formerly Incarcerated, Convicted People and Families Movement) Conference was amazing with almost 10,000 attendees! We announced the new Quest for Democracy grants program during the plenary and held our Political Education Meeting with Circle Members, along with Dorsey Nunn from Legal Services for Prisoners with Children, Susan Burton from A New Way of Life, Norris Henderson from VOTE!, Daryl Atkinson from forwarding Justice, Arely Westerman from BreakOut! and Donna Hylton, Senior Fellow at the Katal Center for Health, Equity, and Justice.
In addition to our partnership with FICPFM for the Quest for Democracy grants program, we are thrilled to announce that the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) will provide an additional $200,000 to support the program! We anticipate granting at least $400,000 in January 2019!
